Michael Runningwolf 37, Chairman of the Board of Directors, TEAM APEX
Mike Runningwolf is the Chairman of the Board of the Boise-based TEAM APEX non-profit company, the most comprehensive custom provider of running, walking, and health-related services in the Treasure Valley. Mr. Runningwolf is co-developer of TEAM APEX along with his wife, Monica, building health and recreational programs for all levels since 2006. Mr. Runningwolf's primary responsibility is for strength programs and beginner running services. He also has responsibilities from time to time for TEAM APEX's sales and event functions, and for staff and volunteer functions. He has previous coaching experience in Track and Field through classes at Boise State University, personal experience at BSU in sprinting distance track and field and local races. He holds a BA in Education from Boise State University with endorsements in Kinesiology, History, and English. He is a member of the US Track and Field Association.

GENERAL
Mike was born in Missouri and grew up in Bentonville, Arkansas. Mike lived in St. Louis for 7 years before moving to Boise to finish his degree at Boise State University where he met his wife, Monica. Mike and Monica dated for 6 years and were married June 6th, 2004 at the historical Bishops House by the Boise Foothills. Their honeymoon was a memorable month-long backbacking European adventure, traveling to England, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Austria, and Holland.

Mike's interests have been in sprinting distances in track since Jr High School. He excelled at 100m/200m events through HS and at BSU and now enjoys teaching others to succeed in sprinting. Mike also excelled in Football since Jr HS to the community league in 2007.

Mike is an active participant and contributor with the Team Apex Athletic Center. Mike is the Team Apex President of the Board of Directors. He is a personal speed and strength coach, serves as a "running buddy" for beginners, and develops track training programs. He is also involved in setting up and maintaining 3-5 free running and walking groups for Team Apex participants on a weekly basis. Mike is a current member of the USATF.

Short Term: Build a base of mileage
Intermediate: Local 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathons
Long Term: Rock & Roll AZ Marathon in January 09

Mike has been fortunate to have never sustained an acute or chronic running injury. (We won't go into Football injuries!)
